Updating a bathroom can be as easy as changing out the mirror. Round mirrors are very attractive and a black frame will never go out of style.
Improve curb appeal with new exterior lighting.
Rugs create warmth and anchor a seating area to help define the space. Adding a rug will make your home feel cozy and updated fast.
Plants are a great addition next to your kitchen or bathroom sink AND they always give a sense of life and energy to a space.
Baskets are still a decorator's best friend and can be used in a variety of rooms. Fill them with TP or rolled towels in a bathroom, fruit in a kitchen, or anything anywhere.
Paint is still every homeowner's cheapest and fastest method to improve the look of almost any space. it may take a little more time but the transformation is always well worth the effort. My favorite color - gracious greige at Lowe's. HGSW2456
Update your artwork with something new. Or change out the frame of a beloved piece of family art. Check out one of the easiest ways to hang artwork using Monkey Hooks!
Dining room lights are usually the last thing to be changed but make a huge impact. Don't wait - shop for a new light soon - you'll be so glad you did!
Kitchen and bathroom faucets are not that expensive and can really make a huge impact. Read reviews before purchasing to make sure installation isnt' a hassle.
Curtains - yes, no or it depends? I'm definitely an "it depends" type of person. I don't care for valances (just the toppers) anymore and prefer panels if curtains are a good idea. Oftentimes, no curtains are the best option especially when selling.
Changing cabinet knobs and pulls is so easy! You should do this right away for a great, updated look in your kitchen or bathroom. Amazon is definitely the best place to purchase them - you'll save significantly compared to Lowe's or Home Depot.
Throw pillows are annoyances for some (like my husband) but they do add a great deal of style and coziness to couches, chairs and beds. I personally like the washable covers because we have kids and pets and it's just hard to keep them clean.
I know clocks are virtually obsolete these days but I am still a big fan of a nice clock in an entryway, dining room or living room.
An assortment of blankets are a must-have in any Maine living room. They are the ultimate cozy companion and the multitude of choices feel infinite these days. My favorite place to shop for cozy blankets is TJMaxx but Amazon certainly has some nice options too.
Benches and side tables have definitely improved over the years. I especially like tables with built-in USB ports for charging. When staging, I often will use a wooden bench as a coffee table. Once again TJMaxx is a great place to find unique items that won't break the bank.
